- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL):
Deep hands‑on expertise in HIL test implementation, test automation, and system integration within automotive environments. - IPG Car Maker:
Advanced proficiency utilizing Car Maker for dynamic vehicle modeling, simulation, and test execution. - Python Scripting:
Core capability in Python for test automation, script development, and system data analysis. - Chassis Controls & Vehicle Dynamics:

We are seeking an elite Senior Automotive HIL Engineer to drive comprehensive hardware‑in‑the‑loop validation and system integration for a premier automotive engagement in Dearborn, MI. This business‑critical role requires a deep technical specialist to bridge the gap between control algorithm design and physical execution. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced competencies in IPG Car Maker and Python to develop automated test procedures, analyze complex vehicle dynamic systems, and eliminate software anomalies early in the product development lifecycle.
You will work closely with cross‑functional global engineering teams to ensure embedded software aligns seamlessly with functional safety and regulatory benchmarks.
- HIL Test Architecture:
Design, implement, and automate test procedures utilizing HIL equipment to validate complex embedded software features and system integration. - Simulation & Modeling:
Leverage Car Maker, Python, and component‑level CAE models to simulate vehicle dynamics, execute parameter optimization, and analyze complex system interactions. - Chassis Algorithm Validation:
Verify and validate chassis control algorithms (brakes, steering, suspension) leveraging combined MIL, SIL, and HIL test methodologies. - Defect Engineering & Tracking:
Document and review test execution reports, systematically report incidents, and rigorously track software updates to ensure defect elimination. - Compliance & Documentation:
Support the quality process lifecycle, aligning artifacts with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements, AUTOSAR architectures, P-diagrams, and comprehensive systems engineering standards.
