Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their use‑cases and requirements
- Design, develop, and deliver complex solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
- Align with architecture guidelines for a unified and coherent approach to development
- Develop and maintain back‑end applications such as APIs and microservices using server‑side languages like Java, Python, C#, etc.
- Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate UI elements and with cross‑functional teams such as product owners, designers, and architects
- Manage application deployment to the cloud or on‑prem, including health and performance monitoring, security hardening, and disaster recovery for deployed applications
- Manage data storage and retrieval in applications using database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Promote improvements in programming practices, such as test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Optimize back‑end infrastructure and deployment practices to improve application resiliency and reliability
- Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization
- GCP Cloud Run, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Infrastructure, Microservices, Java, Python, C++, Git Hub, REST APIs
- Telematics, Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems
- 2 or more years of professional experience in back‑end software engineering with a focus on cloud‑native services on GCP or equivalent cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and Java for back‑end service development
- Experience designing and implementing REST and gRPC APIs, with a strong grasp of API versioning, backward compatibility, and documentation practices
- Hands‑on experience with GCP services including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, and Cloud Logging
- Experience with event‑driven architecture patterns and message queue systems;
Kafka familiarity is a strong plus given TOP's observability stack - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation in a Git Hub‑based development workflow
- Experience instrumenting services with Open Telemetry or equivalent observability frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, well‑documented code in a collaborative team environment
- Experience integrating with LLM inference APIs or AI engine backends
- Familiarity with automotive data formats or telematics data structures
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification
- Familiarity with OpenAPI specification and API gateway patterns on GCP
- Bachelor's Degree
