Software Platform Group Test Engineer

Hybrid On-Site Dearborn MI

12+ Month Contract

$45-55/HR

Primary responsibilities include developing and executing functional and integration test plans for all components owned by the Software Platform group.

• Automated test execution is a critical component of coverage
• Requires working knowledge of Python scripting
• Candidate will work within a high-performing team environment
• Encouraged to contribute ideas and solutions daily

• Analyze product requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally to:
  • Design test plans
  • Develop test setups for multi-domain software solutions
• Develop test automation
• Perform test failure analysis
• Conduct test coverage analysis

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in software testing on Embedded systems, Mobile platforms, Consumer electronics
• Experience with test automation in Python

• Experience testing embedded operating systems using Python, Slash, FordSIM (ECU model)
• Automotive testing experience
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Experience using JIRA
• Strong soft skills:
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication
• Additional tools/technologies:
