We are seeking a Software Developer who will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-based infrastructure and managed services to achieve scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiencies for private and public cloud systems that support the business. They focus on creating opinionated cloud environments and platforms—such as Storage as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service—that serve as building blocks for other enterprises and product teams.
Responsibilities- Code, test, and deploy critical features for Connected Consumer and Vehicle applications, ensuring consistency, optimization, resilience, and security.
- Utilize Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile principles—including JIRA—throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement and advocate for software craftsmanship best practices, ensuring solutions are well documented, maintainable, and compliant with high coding standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, automate delivery processes, and continuously improve efficiency to eliminate waste and facilitate rapid, reliable feature releases.
- Architect and design comprehensive API load-testing strategies.
- Lead threat-modeling initiatives in collaboration with security teams to ensure robust, high-performance systems.
- Demonstrate proven experience designing and operating cloud-native systems, with Google Cloud Platform preferred.
- Demonstrate strong experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and SQL, and No
SQL databases, such as MongoDB, including data modeling, transactional integrity, and performance tuning. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translate requirements into technical specifications, and provide ongoing support for application features.
- Java – REST API development, Spring Boot – Application framework, Git Hub – Source code management, Jenkins – CI/CD pipelines, MongoDB – Database, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Cloud platform
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, Agile software development, Cross-functional collaboration, Python for scripting, OAuth authentication, Visual Studio Copilot, IntelliJ IDEA, Postman and/or Hoppscotch for API testing
- 3–5 years of software development experience.
- Experience building resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloud-native environments while adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
- Experience developing and providing ongoing support and maintenance for software services.
- At least 2–3 years of experience building applications within a microservices product architecture.
- Expertise in core technologies, including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Google Cloud Platform, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with MongoDB, relational databases, and No
SQL solutions. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation within a Git Hub-based development workflow.
- Experience with canary deployments and API-related technologies, including JSON, REST, Swagger, and Hoppscotch.
- Knowledge of continuous delivery processes, tools, testing frameworks, and testing practices; experience with Git Hub, Terraform, and Tekton is preferred.
- Ability to generate metrics, perform user access authorization, maintain passwords, and build deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of testing and security methodologies and tools such as Sonar Qube, Checkmarx, and Dynatrace.
- Experience with Agile project management tools, such as JIRA, or equivalent tools.
