Generative AI Engineer
This role will focus on modernizing Ford's CI/CD environment, supporting developer productivity, and driving adoption of AI-powered development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Cursor AI, and other Generative AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and Tekton.
- Support the transition from Jenkins to Git Hub Actions and Tekton as Ford modernizes its CI/CD platform.
- Integrate AI developer tools and enable adoption across the developer community.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting solutions to improve developer productivity.
- Define architecture, standards, and best practices for developer enablement platforms.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to improve software delivery processes.
- 6 years total IT experience
- Strong CI/CD and Dev Ops experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and Tekton.
- Experience with Git Hub, automation, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- AI development tools experience (Git Hub Copilot, Cursor AI, Generative AI solutions).
- Full-stack/backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Go, or Python.
- Frontend experience with React, Type Script, or Angular.
- REST API development, API Gateway (Apigee), OAuth2, and JWT security.
- Data engineering experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, GCS, Big Query, Power BI, and DAX.
- Experience with Agile, XP practices, continuous delivery, and global software engineering teams.
Looking for a software engineer with a strong mix of Dev Ops, CI/CD modernization, AI developer tooling, and full-stack development experience. Candidates who have helped migrate CI/CD platforms from Jenkins to Git Hub Actions/Tekton are highly preferred.
Work Arrangement- Hybrid role
- 4 days onsite per week
