Ldr- Passenger Bus Driver – Fulltime Detroit

General Summary

Under general supervision, provides leadership and leads daily operations and may assume the responsibilities of supervisor and or line operations during their absence. Makes sure parking personnel carries out all assignments and duties.

• Resolve problems and concerns of customers in an accommodating and friendly manner.
• Assist and serve as a resource to parking service employees.
• Coordinate the scheduling of breaks/lunch times, vacation and days off.
• Assign work to employees and monitor workflow such as timelines, quality, quantity, completeness and daily log sheets.
• Gather information on employee performance and provide input into employee performance appraisals. May provide input into interview new hire selection process.
• Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the department.
• Conduct routine patrols of all parking areas. Ensure policies and procedures are being followed by parking employees.
• Conduct investigations on incidents and document all investigative activities and incidents through completion of an incident report.
• Be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of shuttles.
• Perform the duties of a passenger bus driver including but not limited to transporting HFH employees, staff and guests in a friendly and courteous manner staying on designated route.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School or G.E.D., preferred.
• Requires a valid insurable and unrestricted Michigan Driver’s license in possession at all times.
• One year of previous experience in Passenger Bus Driving or equivalent.
• Must have a CDL with a P endorsement and a valid Medical Examiner Card.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, guests and employees.

• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills and work collaboratively with co‑workers and supervisor in a team oriented environment.
