Dental Assistant
Location:
Decatur, AL 35603 Part Time | Monday - Wednesday: 8 AM - 5:00 PM with a possibility of full time with future expansion
We’re looking for a reliable and motivated General Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced dental team! If you’re passionate about patient care, thrive in a collaborative environment, and bring strong clinical and interpersonal skills to the table, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities- Chairside Assisting: Support dentists during procedures like fillings, crowns, and root canals
- Infection Control: Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance
- Radiography: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays
- Patient Care: Communicate clearly and compassionately, especially with anxious patients
- Dental Software: Use digital charting and practice software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Instrument Prep: Set up and break down operatories before and after procedures
- Teamwork: Collaborate with front and back-office staff as needed
- Organization: Keep work spaces clean and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- 1+ year of dental assisting experience in a general dental practice (new grads welcome!)
- Familiarity with dental software and digital charting
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus (not required)
