Provide support to the Director of Library Services, respective campus’ Head Librarian, library staff and students. This position is not eligible for tenure.

- Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science from an accredited institution is required.
- Working knowledge of the Alabama Virtual Library is required.
- Working knowledge of an integrated online library system is required.
- Knowledge of the Alabama Virtual Library databases.
- Working knowledge of traditional and electronic services and resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and prepare accurate paperwork.
- Ability to conduct individual and small group instruction.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse students, other employees, and the public.
- Commitment to all students, including those of diverse ages, cultures, genders, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Understanding of the broad range of students’ abilities and the ability to accommodate varied learning styles.
