Job Title
To assist teachers in implementing targeted teaching practices selected to accelerate student achievement.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:- Attends professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the school faculty to implement, strengthen, and support instruction and intervention.
- Demonstrates a high level of skill in instructional coaching at all tiers of instruction.
- Uses age-appropriate instructional strategies in all tiers of instruction to improve student achievement.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the school faculty to monitor, analyze, and use data daily in all tiers of instruction to assist in making decisions for improved teaching and learning.
- Demonstrates the ability to help teachers decide on the best use of methods and materials to help students acquire necessary skills, taking into account the different needs and abilities of individual students.
- Plans and/or facilitates professional learning to improve instruction and student learning.
- Utilizes a variety of coaching strategies to differentiate support (grade level, departmental and vertical team meetings, individual and peer coaching).
- Uses a collaborative approach to determine, design, and deliver professional development.
- Exhibits effective communication skills.
- Demonstrates depth of content knowledge and a strong commitment to the improvement of teaching practices.
- Participates in school co-curricular programs and district program improvement efforts.
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics and works cooperatively with the Board, Superintendent, administrators, board employees, parents, and students.
- Implements professional learning plans and maintains proper certification.
- Meets with teachers and other professionals as deemed appropriate to discuss the individual needs of students.
- Uses computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
- Attends staff meetings and serves on committees, as required.
- Demonstrates qualities of patience, understanding, trustworthiness, and attention to work.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, board policy, and school principal and submits records and reports in a timely manner.
- Models appropriate personal characteristics and work habits that are consistent with personal development goals established for students.
- Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Implements and follows state and local curriculum guides.
- Assumes responsibility to perform any other tasks assigned by the principal.

- 10-Month Contract
Education & Experience:
- A Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution
- A valid Alabama State teaching certificate
- Certification in Instructional Leadership preferred
- Minimum of (5) years of successful teaching experience
Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret teacher textbooks, electronic media, general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, parents, and the general public.
Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
