Senior Maintenance Instructor
Part Time Contract Role | Senior Maintenance Instructor in Decatur, AL 1-2 months contract with possible extension
Led the development, implementation, evaluation, and review of an accredited training program (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, or Maintenance Supervisor) to ensure the timely availability of qualified craft personnel to support the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the nuclear plant.
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent, or higher, in either a technical field or a field with related instructional experience.
Experience:
Five years of experience in the area of nuclear plant maintenance and/or power production and related support activities. This includes, but is not limited to, a minimum of five years as a journeyman-level technician, foreman, general foreman, supervisor, or equivalent.
Certification/License:
Completion of a discipline-specific training program needed to qualify as an Instrument Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Technician (journeyman, foreman, supervisor, or equivalent) is desired but not required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated strong communication skills (both electronic and verbal); proficiency in word processing, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint; effective problem-solving and prioritization skills; and the ability to execute assigned tasks promptly.
Candidate must be able to maintain requirements for nuclear plant unescorted access. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/access requirements and essential job functions.
