How You'll Create Possibilities Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team- Provide day-to-day leadership for a multi-craft maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through ongoing feedback, training, and skill-building
- Conduct performance evaluations and make staffing and development recommendations
- Address employee concerns and partner closely with HR to ensure fair and consistent application of policies
- Align maintenance schedules and staffing with production demands
- Balance workloads and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to support planned and unplanned maintenance, equipment repairs, and new product launches
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements through audits and best practices
- Support troubleshooting and rapid response to equipment issues and downtime
- Guide the team in resolving complex technical challenges across electrical systems, PLCs, controls, and power distribution
- Lead emergency response efforts, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective solutions
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve long-term reliability
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology or related field.
- 7+ years' maintenance, engineering or operations experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in maintenance and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, injection molding, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly and conveyor systems, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting.
- Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or related technical field preferred
- Experience with budgets, costing, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong computer skills - high proficiency in Microsoft Office products with the ability to grasp new systems quickly.
- Experience with OSHA and EPA requirements related to maintenance and manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with other shifts to solve maintenance problems.
- Ability to lead and influence a team of skilled maintenance employees.
- Ability and willingness to take extreme ownership of all maintenance responsibilities on assigned shift and within department.
- Active listener with effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and track equipment issues to perform root cause analysis and correct issues as timely as possible.
- Ability to implement plans to control and maintain safety, quality, 5S, cost, and efficiency for assigned areas.
- Strong organization, time management, and planning skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Willing and flexible to work weekends, holidays and shutdowns as necessary.
