About the NGI ProgramThe Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program is a cornerstone of the nation’s missile defense strategy. We develop and deploy cutting‑edge technologies to detect, track, and neutralize evolving threats—ensuring global security for decades to come.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Project Engineer Staff to support the management, planning, and execution of the Kill Vehicle team. As the CAM, you’ll lead the business operations within the team to ensure seamless execution of the cost/schedule/technical baseline.
Responsibilities- As a Control Account Manager (CAM), lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned program/control accounts, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, schedule, and cost targets.
- Manage the account’s budget, forecast cost performance, and implement corrective actions to address variances and keep the program within approved financial limits.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and opportunities; maintain risk registers and ensure timely implementation of mitigation plans.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports (e.g., Earned Value Management, cost and schedule status) to stakeholders.
- Manage the subcontractors across the team to ensure compliant execution of SOW.
- Manage subcontract cost performance.
- Manage the preparation, submission, and execution of baseline changes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the control account, tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Previous experience as CAM or relative comparable experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team.
- Ability to support coordination between multiple teams and multiple locations.
- Experience working with integrated master schedules.
- Experience directly supporting production activities.
- Subcontract management experience.

Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position varies by location: in California, Massachusetts, and New York, it is $120,100 – $208,150; in other listed states it is $104,500 – $184,115. The exact salary will be determined based on location, experience, education, and market factors.

Work SchedulesLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Remote WorkFull‑time remote telework is available; the employee must work at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office, with periodic travel to a Lockheed Martin office for meetings.
