Job Description General DescriptionSupports the Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA site as an equipment subject matter expert through general and predictive maintenance support while driving reliability and cost improvements
Roles and Responsibilities- Supports maintenance and reliability strategy through management of repair and replacement activities.
- Writes Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) procedures.
- Monitors equipment performance and repairs.
- Recommends improvements to enhance equipment performance.
- Coordinates equipment repairs and replacements with units and outside services.
- Prepares and/or approves maintenance work processes.
- Provides technical support for equipment repairs and replacements.
- Reviews and approves drawings for modifications.
- Reviews procedures for conformance to code.
- Selects equipment for replacement.
- Schedules equipment commissioning.
- Assist maintenance teams.
- Report maintenance metrics.
- Technical assistance to Foremen and mechanics.
- Provides training and development to mechanics.
- Assist with job risk assessments.
- Accountable for documenting and maintaining equipment repair results for pumps, compressors, centrifuges and agitators.
- Track maintenance cost.
- Support maintenance budgeting process.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Maintains a clean and well organized work area.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Attends training as required.
- Complies with all HSSE programs, policies and procedures.
- Performs special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- BS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of mechanical manufacturing equipment, systems and processes
- Working knowledge of local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Basic PC skills
- Effective oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of unit operations
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance and reliability processes
- Knowledge of construction standards and codes
- Knowledge of ASME Piping and Pressure Vessel Codes
- Experience with API Inspection Codes
- Experience with fabrication and repair of fixed equipment
- Welding knowledge
- Working with process units and process equipment including rotating equipment
- Experience with inspection and engineering design software
