VP​/Director of Finance

A growing private equity-backed organization in Decatur, AL is seeking a Director of FP& A to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting across the business. This highly visible role will partner closely with executive leadership and operational teams to provide strategic financial insights that support growth initiatives, operational performance, and enterprise value creation.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead monthly financial reporting processes including flash reporting, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and executive performance packages

- Partner with business unit leaders to review financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and drive operational accountability

- Own and manage the forecasting process including rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and long-range planning

- Lead the annual budgeting process across multiple business units and functional areas

- Deliver actionable financial insights and reporting to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders

- Support strategic initiatives, operational analysis, and ad hoc financial projects

- Oversee acquisition integration into financial reporting processes, including pro forma reporting and transaction-level analysis

- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, systems, forecasting accuracy, and overall FP& A processes

- Lead, mentor, and develop FP& A team members

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

- 7+ years of progressive FP& A, investment banking, consulting, or related finance experience

- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities

- Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts to senior leadership and operational stakeholders

- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience

- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA or MSF preferred

- Experience with in a private equity-backed organization

- Experience with Net Suite and Net Suite Planning & Budgeting

- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or strategic growth initiatives

- Prior team leadership and talent development experience
