AtWork is seeking a skilled and certified Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural/construction welding and fitting tasks, with a focus on precision and quality workmanship. Must be able to work in all types of environments indoors and outdoors. Position is located in Decatur, AL, but may work at some off‑site locations as needed in the surrounding area.

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, and read tape measures.
• Perform welding tasks using Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques.
• Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, and plasma cutters for accurate measurements and cutting.
• Work with sheet metal to fabricate and build structures.
• Conduct fitting tasks to ensure components align correctly.
• Operate in a construction site environment adhering to safety protocols.
• Experience working in a shop environment or construction site.
• Certifications in all forms of welding are a plus.
• Proven experience in structural welding and fitting roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with plasma cutting processes.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and plasma cutting tools.
• Ability to fabricate and build structures accurately.
• Experience working with sheet metal is a plus.
