Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Overview
PRODUCTION: WAREHOUSE
The Warehouse team member is responsible for safely moving raw materials and finished products in a manufacturing facility. The position requires operation of a forklift, clamp truck, and other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials.
Responsibilities- Performing work in accordance with established work instructions, while meeting required quality standards and efficiencies
- Complete pack out, including strapping and stretch wrapping where required and transport finished goods to warehouse and store in proper locations
- Label rows of finished products in warehouse / storage areas
- Stock production area with necessary materials
- Load/unload trucks using a forklift, clamp truck, and/or other power equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate counts and records of products loaded on trucks for shipment to customers
- Complete and File required paperwork
- Communicate with internal team members, and / or truck drivers
- Maintain and improve 5S activities, keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe for all team members
- Work in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and write
- Experience operating a forklift is preferred
- Experience operating a pallet jack preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to pull, and push up to 20 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, and reach frequently
