Position SummaryUnder direction of the Transportation Manager, the Shipping Coordinator coordinates the activities of shipping and receiving, ensuring accurate daily input of goods received and shipped.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Embrace the 1 TEAM culture.
- Wear all required protective equipment in compliance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment through safe habits, good housekeeping, and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Establish and maintain shipping procedures for incoming and outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and high order‑fulfillment levels.
- Pick and stage material for shipping.
- Support all staffing needs in shipping and receiving.
- Communicate daily with sales and operations management to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Generate outbound paperwork for proper shipment.
- Schedule carriers for pickups as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, file and record management.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to operate standard office machinery (computer, phone, fax, copier, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, and shipping documents in English.
- Work under strict deadlines, coordinate with others in a group or team, and interact with external customers or the public.
High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually medium to high. The employee may sit, use hands to manipulate objects, often stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regular lifting or moving of up to 50 lbs is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
