We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire role. In this role, you will support production operations by performing inspections, audits, and quality-related activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical inspections, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify part and assembly compliance.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, pin/plug gauges, indicators, surface plates, and other inspection tools.
- Conduct receiving inspections of raw materials and components according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
- Verify that in-process inspections and audits are completed and properly documented.
- Follow all company quality policies, procedures, and established guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Demonstrate a cooperative, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
- Work independently while consistently meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Apply sound judgment and attention to detail in daily work activities.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Basic computer skills with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and use of hand tools.
- Frequent handling and inspection of manufactured parts.
- Ability to lift and carry:
- Up to 10 lbs. continuously
- 10–20 lbs. frequently
- Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to maintain balance and work safely around manufacturing equipment.
- Must have the ability to see details at close range and at a distance, distinguish colors, perceive depth, and adjust focus as needed.
