Maintenance Tech - FAME

Position:
Maintenance Technician – FAME (Factory Asset Management & Engineering)

Location:

Decatur, AL, USA

• Assist skilled maintenance personnel in the repair, refurbishment, and installation of production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment reliability and uptime to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff to complete job assignments.
• Follow verbal and written instructions in English and maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment and safety procedures at all times.

• Constantly wearing personal protective equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting.
• Frequent lifting/carrying of parts up to 50 lbs, occasional pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, pivoting, and kneeling; ladder, stair, and stair climbing.
• Ability to work in loud/noisy environments, at heights, and outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited program (minimum of 2 years) in machinist, electrical, or related technical field and must maintain enrollment in the FAME program throughout employment.
• Demonstrated desire to work in a manufacturing environment troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed; minimum 18 years of age.
• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality; able to follow instructions in English.
• Must pass an annual medical examination/clearance, including pulmonary function test for respirator usage.
• Must obtain a forklift license. Welding background or desire to become a certified welder considered favorable.
