We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter (TIG Specialist) for our client close to Decatur, AL. As a Welder/Fitter, you will fit, position, and TIG weld complex, custom ornamental metal components. You will work primarily with stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, transforming detailed blueprints into flawless architectural pieces. • TIG Welding:
  Perform high-quality, visually clean TIG welds on various gauges of metal.
• Fitting & Fabrication:
  Read blueprints to fit, align, and tack-weld components accurately.
• Material Prep:
  Cut, grind, and prep materials to meet strict aesthetic and structural specs.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect finished products to ensure zero defects and smooth finishes.
• Safety:
  Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all shop safety protocols.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Clean up the work area at the end of the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 3+ years of professional TIG welding experience, preferably in ornamental metalwork.
• Technical Skill:
  Proven ability to create clean, "stack-of-dimes" welds on thin-gauge materials.
• Blueprint Literacy:
  Advanced ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings.
• Math
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong knowledge of geometry and fractions for accurate layout and fitting.
• Tools:
  Proficient with fabrication tools like grinders, saws, shears, and fixtures.
• Testing:
  Must pass an in-house blueprint reading and TIG welding test.
• High School Diploma/GED or graduation from certified technical school.
• Must accurately read tape measure (assessment given).
• Strong work ethic, good attendance, and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and work occasional overtime.
• Steel-toed boots required.
• Must pass background & drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a Blueprint reading & Welding Test

• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday–Thursday 6:00 PM-4:00PM.

• Pay: $23.00-$28.00hr
