Summary

This role centers on maintaining a safe and efficient production environment, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality fabric. You will be responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, labor productivity, and minimizing waste and overhead, alongside administering company policies and procedures.

Key operational duties include preparing and developing management associates, fostering a positive team climate, and overseeing routine and preventative maintenance. You will also manage inventory by ordering stock yarn and repair parts, schedule equipment to meet production plans, track daily output, and evaluate quality issues to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote safety awareness in the business.
  • Optimize the use of available resources, maximize equipment uptime and labor productivity, minimize overhead, overtime and waste.
  • Deliver quality fabric according to customer schedules and needs.
  • Prepare, train and develop management associates.
  • Monitor routine maintenance work, promote, assist in scheduling preventative maintenance work.
  • Administer company and plant policies and procedures.
  • Develop a work climate which is conductive to team development and problem resolution.
  • Ordering of stock yarn for next month production plan.
  • Order of repair parts not kept in supply room.
  • Evaluate equipment to run certain codes to keep waste and cost low.
  • Schedule of equipment to process production plan.
  • Track daily production and utilization of all equipment.
  • Evaluate quality from the dip unit to troubleshoot and see why it happens.
  • Requirements
  • Must have good listening and communication skills, a knowledge of team building, problem solving, data analysis, implementation of systems and analytical decision making.
  • Ability to manage people, organize workloads, interpret and advise plant product division.
  • This individual must be credible with integrity. Have good communication and listening skills, good problem identification and resolution capabilities and good organizational skills.
  • Operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with fabric technology.
  • Communication, administration and organizational skills, knowledge of plant costs and budgeting.
