Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee and manage the welding department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising welders, maintaining safety standards, and improving overall productivity. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in welding, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate employees to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Assign tasks and monitor daily welding operations to meet production deadlines.
  • Ensure all welding activities comply with company quality standards, blueprints, and welding procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
  • Keep accurate records of production, employee performance, and material usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues in production.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or structural steel environment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to meet production goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations such as AWS and OSHA standards.
  • Knowledge of robotic welding systems is a plus.
