Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development while ensuring production schedules are achieved.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience supervising assembly, fabrication, welding, or metal manufacturing teams. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and plant leadership to improve operational performance and build a high-performing workforce.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily manufacturing operations across assembly and fabrication teams.
- Lead production planning, staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
- Identify production issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and production employees.
- Monitor KPIs and production metrics to improve efficiency and operational performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics to resolve production challenges.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
Required
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in one or more of the following:
- Metal Fabrication
- Welding
- Industrial Manufacturing
- At least 4 years of supervisory or production leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling, manpower planning, and shop floor operations.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and quality initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee coaching skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and manufacturing or production management systems.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
