At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician — 4A (Monday-Thursday)

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of surface mount, wave soldering, selective wave soldering and other manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include set-up, repair, operation, preventative maintenance and adjustment of Fuji and ASM SMT equipment as well as Wave and Selective Soldering Equipment. Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. Will be responsible for quality assurance, uptime and completing documentation for equipment and area.

Is able to work with little instruction and take constructive criticism. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Experience with tooling development as well as manual machinist work is a plus. Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime when needed.

• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Fuji SMT machines, Wave and Selective Soldering equipment or other related experience.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs.
• Has good troubleshooting and problem solving skills with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic problems.
• Required to be self-sufficient and resolve issues without assistance.
• Ability to interface professionally and effectively with peers, operators and managers.
• Must be a team player.

• 2 year Technical Degree preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years Technician experience
