Press Brake Operator
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role includes performing quality checks, reading work orders, measuring finished products, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Located in Decatur, AL hiring for a based contract manufacturer that has been serving customers since 1949. The company specializes in sheet metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting, welding, assembly, engineering, and custom metal manufacturing solutions for industrial, commercial, government, and private-sector customers.

Press Brake Operator Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $ 23.00 to $ 25.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 05:00am to 01:30pm)
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team in Decatur. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of press brake experience and a strong background in metal fabrication. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake equipment while ensuring quality and production standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Select proper tooling and machine settings.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Make adjustments to machine programs and setups as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other fabrication duties as assigned.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and quality. Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
