Banding Line Operator; B432

We have an opening for a Banding Line Operator position working at a company in Trinity,
AL that specializes in processing and precision slitting of flat-rolled carbon and alloy steel products. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

*** THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB REQUIRING A STRONG WORK ETHIC ***

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be proficient in utilizing various tools and equipment including a tape measure, band breaker, pneumatic bander/crimper, hand bander, hand cutters, staple gun, electric shears, and nibblers.
• Must have a command of the English language and good verbal and written skills.
• Must be capable of obtaining a hi-lo (a.k.a., forklift) certification.
• Must be capable of operating a jib crane, utilizing an /OD calculator wheel, and running a computer tag program.
• Must be tolerant of loud noise from machinery and equipment operation.
• Must be immune to the presence of dust, debris, and airborne particles typical of an industrial setting.
• Must be able to also meet the physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift.
• Must also be able to effectively communicate with others and work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme hot/cold temperatures.

• Operate automatic banders efficiently.
• Oversee the accurate packaging of all coils processed by the slitters on the banding line.
• Abide by the packaging schedule as instructed by the supervisor.
• Exposure to moving machinery, heavy equipment, and sharp objects.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to mitigate risks associated with the manufacturing process.
• Follow attendance policies detailed in the Employee Handbook.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
