As an HBC Clerk, you will rotate, face, replenish merchandise, maintain cleanliness and product quality, and provide friendly customer service to customers and team members.

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner throughout the store.
• Shows effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to calling customers.
• Works with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Rotates, faces, and replenishes merchandise to meet the highest quality standards.
• Reviews department status for cleanliness, product quality, and quantity.
• Checks in, puts product away, and may review invoices.
• Assists with inventory as requested.
• Maintains displays within the department and throughout the store.
• Orders product when asked by supervisor.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

• Reports to:
  
  District Store Director;
  Store Manager;
  Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations, and Perishables;
  Fashion/Beauty/Basin Director;
  Basin Department Manager.

• Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Proficiency with basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information or request supplies orally or in writing.

Less than high school and over six months up to one year of similar or related experience.

• May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• May exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
• May exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Position exposed to dust and noise; works in a fast‑paced environment with significant pressure.

$11.41 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience.
