As a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, when needed. On occasion you may have the opportunity to work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.

Salary: Starting hourly rate is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

  • Paid training is provided, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Schedule:

  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 7–11 hours per week.
  • Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device. Technological proficiency is critical for communication with supervisor, reporting, feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store personnel is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    During peak seasons around Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours. On some holidays, work on the holiday itself or weekend may be required.
  • Department resets:
    You may be part of a team responsible for installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. You will be notified at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    You are part of Hallmark’s field organization and may support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This job requires a high level of energy and urgency. The work is physically demanding: you must push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day and may climb stairs or step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Capable of frequently lifting up to 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Has access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
  • Has reliable transportation to and between assigned stores on schedule.
