• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow‑up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Execute minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment covering electrical, brake, cooling, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic) and clutches.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment using handheld computers, pressure gauges, and other test instruments; conduct road tests to confirm proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company‑issued service truck, performing periodic reconciliation.
• Maintain and operate the company‑issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre‑/post‑trip inspections.
• Work independently to schedule daily duties, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity within standard repair times.
• Document all work according to company standards, uploading pictures and details to Repair Orders (RO) via the proprietary TRAIT app on the company iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and other required documentation promptly and accurately.
• Adhere to organizational safety, health, environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Obtain necessary local or national vendors for parts and request approval of repair estimates via email or phone.

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience; alternatively, any level degree or certification beyond HS combined with 5 years of experience.
• Valid driver's license and current state driver’s license; must be 21 years or older and hold a valid DOT medical card (or complete a DOT physical).
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods; capable of performing moderate to heavy labor and repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, including the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Obtain or already possess ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Preferred additional certifications: ASE T3 (Drivetrain), T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension), T6 (Electrical & Electronic Systems), T7 (HVAC), ASE 608/609.

• Understand implications of new information for problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives and make informed judgments.
• Determine appropriate tools and equipment for tasks; judge distance and spatial relationships accurately.
