HVAC Service Technician

Southern Home Services operates residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services nationwide. We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team.

An HVAC Service Technician is responsible for service, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. Duties include diagnosing system issues, performing routine and emergency repairs, ensuring efficient operation and safety, interacting with customers, and maintaining detailed service records. Strong technical skills, customer service, and adherence to industry standards are essential.

• Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, vents, and condensation drainage.
• Diagnose and perform service work on HVAC systems in residential settings to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide expert HVAC solutions to customers, addressing their needs and offering professional recommendations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• 2-5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably residential.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.

• Professional interaction with all organizational levels.
• Team player, flexible and innovative, thriving in dynamic environments.

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
• Ability to drive.
• Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.
