You arrive on-site, assess the issue, and get to work—assembling pipe sections with couplings, clamps, and solvents, or soldering, brazing, and welding to create leak-free systems. You may cut precise openings in walls or floors to run new lines, or anchor steel supports from ceiling joists so piping stays exactly where it should.

Underground storm, sanitary, and water piping installs are on your radar too, extending lines to connect fixtures and plumbing with confidence.

Safety and quality are non‑negotiable. You’ll pressure-test systems with water or air, reading gauges to trace and correct leaks. On large or specialized projects, you’ll perform complex calculations and planning, and when the job calls for it, you’ll weld small or specialty piping using advanced methods, including computer-assisted welding and microchip fabrication techniques.

• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and household appliances (dishwashers, water heaters) and fixtures (sinks, toilets) using hand and power tools.
• Cut openings to accommodate pipes and fittings and anchor supports to structural members.
• Fill and pressure-test systems; trace, detect, and correct leaks via gauges and diagnostics.
• Lay and extend underground storm, sanitary, and water piping to connect to fixtures and systems.
• Perform advanced calculations and planning for special or very large projects.
• Prepare written work cost estimates and negotiate contracts.
• Weld small or specialty piping using specialized equipment, materials, and techniques.
• Build customer rapport by diagnosing complaints, proposing solutions, recommending improved methods/equipment, and earning referrals.
• Document installations and service in SAWIN mobile and required forms; complete logs and reports accurately and on time.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets with minimal callbacks.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Alabama Journeyman Plumbing license (required)
• Gas Fitting Card (required)
• 4+ years of directly related plumbing experience and/or training
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of US driving experience, is required for this role.
• You should be proficient in:
  Plumbing

• Dexterity to operate standard hand and power tools used in the trade
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds regularly
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching in all directions
• Maintain balance while working at height using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts
• Climb stairs and ladders; work in high, precarious places
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Work outdoors with exposure to heat and cold
• Ability to see and read with or without vision aids
• Hear and speak to exchange information
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
