We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team, focusing on industrial maintenance, rotating equipment repair, pump restoration, and managing shutdown projects in heavy industrial environments. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in steel mills, chemical plants, power generation facilities, paper mills, refineries, industrial services, mining operations, and manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities:

• Support industrial maintenance and rotating equipment repair.
• Perform pump restoration and manage shutdown projects.
• Install and remove large industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Utilize precision measuring tools for accurate repairs.
• Ensure safe working practices in industrial environments.

Essential

Skills:

• Mechanical knowledge with a focus on pump repair and hand tools.
• 3+ years of experience in Millwright, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, or Rotating Equipment roles.
• Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, blowers, turbines, or similar rotating equipment.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair expertise.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Experience with rotating equipment, pump rebuilds, and pump restoration.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and vertical pumps.
• Familiarity with gearboxes, compressors, motors, turbines, blowers, conveyors, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Understanding of mechanical seals, couplings, bearings, belt drives, chain drives, and power transmission.
• Proficiency in laser alignment, shaft alignment, precision alignment, dial indicators, vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, and reliability maintenance.
• Experience in precision measurement, machinery installation, and machinery removal.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
