Painter - GM Parma Stamping

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Painter I in Parma, OH to support facility maintenance and improvement projects at a manufacturing site. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, stains, and finishes to walls, ceilings, equipment, furniture, and other facility assets. Day-to-day work includes surface preparation, drywall repairs, painting, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Most work is performed on first shift, although occasional alternate shifts may be required when working in high-traffic areas or supporting special projects.

This is a hands-on position that requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Candidates with painting, maintenance, facilities, construction, or building trades experience are encouraged to apply.

COMPENSATION:
The Hourly rate for this position is $40.33 to $40.33. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and repairing minor wall damage.
• Apply paint, stains, coatings, varnishes, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Perform drywall patching, repairs, texturing, and touch-up work as needed.
• Match colors and finishes to maintain a professional appearance throughout the facility.
• Use brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders, scaffolding, and other painting equipment safely and effectively.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain clean work areas during and after projects.
• Follow all safety procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of paints, solvents, and related materials.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support facility maintenance projects and respond to painting-related work orders.
• Communicate professionally with team members, facility personnel, and customers.

• Previous painting experience in commercial, industrial, residential, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of painting methods, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work primarily first shift with flexibility to work alternate shifts when project needs require.
• Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, paint sprayers, rollers, brushes, and hand tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
