• Promote and embody LifeSTEPS workplace values of integrity, innovation, empowerment, respect, and personal growth.
• Assess participants to identify needs in areas such as personal/family adjustment, finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical/mental health.
• Coordinate and tailor services to meet identified needs.
• Be physically present at each assigned property as scheduled and spend the required contracted hours.
• Assist participants individually, with family, or in small groups regarding plans to meet needs and mobilize inner capacities and resources to improve social and economic functioning.
• Advocate and refer participants to community resources, human services, and other organizations as needed.
• Assist in developing auxiliary services to help applicants become job-ready.
• Instruct applicants in resume writing, job search, and interviewing techniques.
• Compile records and prepare reports.
• Complete all administrative assignments, including timely data entry in multiple databases.
• Review service plans and perform follow-ups to determine the quantity and quality of services provided and the status of participant cases.
• Access and record participant and community resource information.
• Secure supplementary information such as employment, medical records, or school reports as needed.
• Study and assess the strength and weakness of existing resources.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing social services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid California driving license and reliable, insured transportation.
