Part-time Bus Driver Job Decatur area,Alabama USA,Transportation

The Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the College's bus per set schedule. Work Hours vary - on call for school events.

Salary: $275 per day plus $20 per hour for trips exceeding 10 hours unless the trip requires an overnight stay. $33 overnight differential.

Responsibilities

Operate the bus in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.

Pick up and deliver employees, students, and guests as per a schedule.

Operate the bus in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Perform safety and maintenance checks.

Clean the bus as scheduled and/or required.

Ensure the bus is safely and securely stored.

Advise appropriate personnel of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.

Minimum

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

A valid CDL license with air brakes and passenger endorsement is required.

Ability to be insurable is required.

Be able to work as needed for students and the instructors is required.

Background Check Requirement

In accordance with Alabama Community College System Policy and guidelines, the applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a consent form for a criminal background check. Employment will be contingent upon the receipt of a clearance notification from the criminal background check.
