Assistant Warehouse Manager – AL, Decatur

• The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management and purchasing to meet the needs of each line of business.
• This role helps execute inventory goals as outlined in the Warehouse Operations Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensures the warehouse is maintained in a clean and safe condition per the Warehouse Audit SOP.
• The Assistant Manager helps coordinate employee scheduling to balance time-off requests with operational coverage and may step in to perform warehouse tasks when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Receive purchase orders, pull product orders, and place them in designated areas for route preparation
• Count products loaded onto delivery route trucks and ensure accurate inventory management
• Properly store products in the warehouse, ensuring rotation based on freshness dates
• Operate equipment such as self-propelled electric pallet jacks and/or standard fork pallet jacks
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Support and lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

• High School diploma or GED required
• Exceptional leadership/management skills
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs on a repetitive basis and perform frequent bending, reaching, and stooping
• Consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Ability to follow workplace safety policies and guidelines
• Preferred experience working in a warehouse environment
• Preferred experience using a forklift and/or pallet jack for loading and unloading trucks
