Staff Accountant

Overview

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant (GL and Reconciliation) manages the full-cycle month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling complex balance sheet. This role acts as a critical checkpoint, verifying that data from subsidiary ledgers (like Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable) matches the general ledger to produce reliable financial statements.

• General Ledger:
  Maintaining and balancing the general ledger, recording journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
• Reconciliations:
  Performing monthly bank, credit card, and subsidiary ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• AR & AP Support:
  Managing accounts payable (vendor invoices) and accounts receivable (client billing/collections).
• Period-End Close:
  Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes through accruals and variance analysis.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent work experience (5) five plus years.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Microsoft Excel, Quick Books.
• Soft Skills:
  
  High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and professional communication skills for collaborating with other departments.
