Summary
Produce certified copies of misdemeanor records from various media sources for the general public and other County departments. File documents into case jackets, maintaining file integrity and accuracy. Support and assist co‑workers as needed. This work may be varied and may involve simple analysis, problem solving and clerical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Files legal documents into misdemeanor case jackets, utilizing File Tracker software to locate those files.
- Creates and certifies copies generated from various media sources for the general public and for other County departments.
- Performs customer service functions.
- Researches errors discovered during the filing process.
- Performs relief duties at the front counter, including balancing receipts and making the daily deposit in the absence of the Customer Service Clerk.
- Updates executed warrants using the computer.
- Assists with other office functions as needed.
- Verifies information on bonds before filing.
- Processes and issues AFRS warrants, making appropriate computer and docket entries.
- Intakes documents (bonds, warrants, etc.) from the public and other county agencies, sorting, filing and distributing as appropriate.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of general work experience.
- Knowledge of personal computers.
- Ability to work with a numeric filing system.
- Proficient keyboarding and word processing skills.
- Must take and pass a 35 WPM typing test.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, bend, stoop, push, pull and lift.
