This position works within the Purchasing and Inventory areas of the company
Essential Functions- Send/Receive/Confirm Purchase Orders for multiple different suppliers
- Review material reorder reports and determine quantities to order
- Confirm and write purchase orders in our System to match approved final orders
- Ordering material foreign and domestic based on projected lead times
- Log and update purchase orders based on delays and actual shipment dates
- Maintain a report and follow up with factory on back ordered items to ensure prompt shipping
- Receive Purchase orders once delivered and ensure all costs and quantities are accurate
- Communicate with our factories to find and locate special offerings requested by the our showrooms and other clientele
- Work with the sales team to ensure all stocked material is kept up to adequate levels and is prepared for future reorder
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of initiatives
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to multi-task and work within specified time frames
- Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
- Ability to problem‑solve a plus
- Previous work experience in the industry a plus
- Experience with AS400 Kerridge system
