Can You Manage a Job Site the Way a Homeowner Deserves and a Crew Respects?
There are project managers who push paper and hope things go right. Then there are project managers who show up on‑site, walk the job, catch problems before they become callbacks, and leave every homeowner saying that crew was incredible. We’re looking for the second kind.
About Nelson ExteriorsFor over 48 years, Nelson Exteriors has been a trusted family‑owned exterior remodeling business in Atlanta, Georgia. We’ve helped over 10,000 homeowners, specializing in siding, roofing, windows, doors, decks, painting, gutters, and outdoor living spaces. Our reputation speaks for itself: we maintain an average 4.8‑star rating across Google, Facebook, and Nextdoor because we stand by our promise: “Love the way your home looks.”
The RoleAs a Residential Construction Project Manager, you will oversee exterior renovation projects from pre‑construction through final walkthrough, including siding, roofing, painting, decks, windows, gutters, and outdoor living spaces. You’ll manage multiple active projects simultaneously, coordinate crews and subcontractors, maintain direct communication with homeowners, and ensure every job is completed on time, on budget, and to the standards that have earned our reputation.
This is a hands‑on, field‑based leadership role. You will be on job sites daily, not managing from behind a desk.

- Enforce safe construction practices on every job site, every day.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the project and at completion.
- Handle crew payroll tracking and project‑related documentation.
- Manage project records and updates in our project management software.
- Solve problems in the field quickly and decisively, including weather delays, material issues, crew challenges, homeowner concerns.

- Working knowledge of exterior products and their application: paint, siding, roofing, decking, trim, and related materials.
- Strong understanding of safe construction practices and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills with homeowners and crews.
- Attention to detail and a standard of quality you refuse to compromise.
- Leadership mindset requiring ownership of projects, crews, and results.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple jobs, timelines, and moving parts.
- Problem‑solving ability to fix issues calmly and quickly.
- Clean driving record mandatory.
- Experience with construction project management software preferred but not required.
- Comfortable with technology; use company laptop, phone, and tablet daily.
- Performance‑based compensation with earning potential up to $120,000.
- Company truck, laptop, and cell phone.
- $400 monthly gas stipend.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid time off and paid vacations (available after one year).
- Retirement plan with company match (available after one year).
- Weekends off.
- Training on procedures, scheduling tools, and policies.
You manage the full project, not just a piece of it. You own everything from materials to final walkthrough. You work for a company with a 48‑year reputation and high customer trust. You are supported, not micromanaged. Weekends off and the chance to earn beyond a ceiling.
Apply TodayIf you have construction experience, leadership instincts, and a standard of quality that keeps you up at night when something isn’t right, we want to meet you. This is a career role, not a stepping stone.
