About us:

At Buddy Chevrolet, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional automotive care and a top-notch customer experience. We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic service advisor to join our team and serve as the crucial link between our customers and our service technicians.

Position summary:

The service advisor is responsible for greeting customers and assessing their vehicle's needs. You will listen to customer concerns, translate them into a clear work order for our technicians, and provide timely updates to the customer throughout the service process. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of automotive systems, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Listen to customer descriptions of vehicle problems and concerns.
  • Inspect vehicles with the customer to confirm issues and accurately document the scope of work.
  • Write clear and comprehensive repair orders for technicians.
  • Provide detailed explanations of the technician's findings and recommended services to the customer.
  • Communicate estimates for parts and labor, and seek customer approval before work begins.
  • Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle and any changes to the original estimate or timeline.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring a smooth and transparent service experience.
  • Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and address service-related questions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive service advisor, service writer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with applicable systems and service management software.
  • A valid driver's license.
