We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for oral health, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch patient care. Atlanta Emergency Dentist is a privately owned dental practice located in Decatur. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. We re committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering an outstanding, memorable experience for every patient.

Job Summary

You will serve as the main point of contact for all patients and the community. Answering phones, handle patient inquiries, make appointments, and assist with the completion of the patient’s treatment plans. Be a support person to all staff members and patients while being flexible in handling requests and projects assigned by the Office Manager. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Greet new and returning patients with warmth and professionalism.
  • Answer phones, check office voicemails, and respond to office email and texts.
  • Confirming patient appointments via phone or text.
  • Schedule appointments and manage providers schedule.
  • Collect and maintain accurate patient information and records.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, dentist, and staff.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with billing and financial arrangements for treatment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in a previous dental role is REQUIRED.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of dental treatment plans, insurance, and case presentation.
  • Treatment planning experience (Required).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – both on the phone and in person.
  • Comfortable with dental software and learning new systems. Open Dental Experience is a plus.
  • Loves creating a welcoming environment for patients and team alike.
  • Enjoys working closely with a supportive, fun and purpose-driven team.
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and verbal skills.
