What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings
• 3.5 EIPA score or higher required
• Eligibility for the GaPSC Educational Interpreter Certificate
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships with students, educators, and staff
• Strong communication and adaptability skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for students and staff during classroom instruction and school activities
• Accurately facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other school staff
• Support students' educational and social development by ensuring full access to information conveyed in spoken English
• Collaborate with educational teams to help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information while upholding ethical and professional standards

• Two interpreter positions available
• 40 hours per week, consistent school-year schedule
