Terms of EmploymentThis is a part time hourly position. The annual period of service is 185 days.
Primary FunctionTo facilitate academic enrichment lessons that support and enhance students’ learning and that are aligned with the school day instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Implement instructional experiences developed by the After school Program Manager.
- Uses a variety of instructional materials, resources, and experiences to enrich student learning.
- Uses effective positive interpersonal communication skills.
- Builds relationships with other teachers, building administrators, and staff to drive collaboration and program success.
- Assists After school Program Manager in daily duties and responsibilities within the school.
- Participates in dismissal procedures, ensuring each child leaves with the appropriate authorized adult.
- Participates in recommended training programs, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.

Education and/or ExperienceA high school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 months relative work experience
EvaluationPerformance of this job shall be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
Physical DemandsTo perform the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, or hear. Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required on an occasional basis. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and distance vision.
