Title:Senior Manager, State Reporting & Master Scheduling
Facilitates the collection and reporting of student data to the Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) while simultaneously training and supporting schools in all master scheduling tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of course codes, student data transmissions, and FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) funding guidelines by collaborating with Student Information System (SIS) managers and staying current on GA DOE requirements. Supervises assigned personnel in accordance with DeKalb County School District (DCSD) policies.
EssentialJob Duties
- Facilitates the collection, verification, and transmission of all student-related Georgia DOE data collections, including Student Course Profiles, Student/Teacher Class Rosters, Student Records, and End of Pathways.
- Serves as the FTE database administrator; collects and verifies school FTE data to maximize district funding and maintains the Georgia DOE Facility Database and GUIDE system (GTID application).
- Supports district and school personnel during the annual master schedule build process; monitors schedules for out-of-compliance issues, identifying scheduling errors or missing schedules, and working with staff to resolve them.
- Trains district personnel on SIS application modules, State Reporting requirements, and all aspects of building and maintaining effective master schedules.
- Deletes duplicate student IDs to prevent over-reporting and regularly monitors Student Class errors for all state-mandated reporting periods.
- Collaborates with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction to manage course information within the SIS software and assists the SIS Help Desk with scheduling support.
- Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned classified personnel; processes employee concerns; and leads staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, Instructional Technology, or a closely related field from a Professional Standards Commission-approved accredited college or university required. Master's degree preferred.
- A valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved certificate in educational leadership (Level L-5, NL-5, PL-6) and in a content area (T-5 or above) is preferred.
