We have an exciting opportunity with an established industrial engineering firm that is seeking a driven Project Engineer to support technical capabilities and project execution. This role is ideal for a candidate in the 2–8-year range of their career. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics and is eager to apply that knowledge to real-world industrial applications.
You will provide technical engineering support for the execution of equipment project. You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Engineering, and Project Coordination teams to ensure our solutions are designed, built, and delivered to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Project Execution: Lead the technical execution of equipment projects from the design phase through to commissioning support.
- Product Engineering: Provide detailed engineering support for equipment projects, including component selection, sizing, and integration into existing customer systems.
- Technical Design: Assist in the creation and review of technical equipment drawings, P&IDs, and other technical drawings as needed to support our customers and drive product development.
- Vendor Management: Communicate technical specifications to equipment vendors and fabricators to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical data for proposals and with project coordination to maintain project schedules.
- Field Support: Occasionally travel to client sites (industrial manufacturing facilities) to assist with system audits, troubleshooting, or commissioning of new equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
- 2-8 Years of engineering experience in an industrial setting. Experience with thermal oil systems, industrial boilers, or process heating is ideal. At a minimum candidates should have familiarity with pumps, valves, instrumentation, and piping standards.
- CAD knowledge AutoCAD or Solidworks are ideal
- Ability to read engineering (mechanical, electrical layout etc) drawings
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills
Flex start time and ability to WFH 2 days/week once established
