Overview
We are partnering with a leading engineering team supporting a large-scale infrastructure program focused on modernizing and optimizing a major metropolitan wastewater conveyance system. The project is part of a consent decree program issued by the EPA to do a major overhaul of the sewer system for Dekalb county. This role combines engineering, data-driven decision-making, and project delivery, supporting ongoing assessment and rehabilitation efforts across a complex underground utility network.
Responsibilities
+ Manage contractors performing sewer system assessments, including oversight of schedule, budget, performance, and deliverables
+ Oversee QA/QC of inspection data, condition ratings, and rehabilitation recommendations
+ Support development of asset inventories, GIS mapping, and assessment planning for new project areas
+ Provide technical input and solutions related to field challenges, including access, cleaning, and inspection constraints
+ Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation
+ Coordinate with inspectors, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders
+ Prepare and contribute to technical reports and project recommendations
+ Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
+ Support client communication and contribute to the development of collaborative solutions
Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater conveyance system assessment, design, construction, or rehabilitation
+
Experience with sanitary sewer condition assessment programs
+ Strong understanding of underground utility systems and field operations
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to manage technical data while coordinating contractor activities
Preferred:
+
Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or similar)
+ Familiarity with asset management or hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Info Asset, Info Master, or similar)
+ NASSCO certifications (PACP, MACP)
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license or progression toward licensure
+ Experience supporting large infrastructure or regulatory-driven programs
+ Exposure to CMOM programs or system-wide asset management initiatives

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $70.00/hr.
