Doghouse Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in Atlanta, GA is looking for a dependable Sound and Lighting Tech to help bring our live performances to life! If you’re passionate about live theater, audio/visual production, or entertainment technology, this is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, exciting show environment.
What You’ll DoAs our Sound and Lighting Tech, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our performances run smoothly. Here’s what your responsibilities will look like:
- Operate sound and lighting equipment during live performances.
- Follow cue sheets and execute cues at the right time.
- Play music, sound effects, and other audio as directed.
- Adjust microphone and audio levels as needed.
- Operate basic stage and house lighting systems.
- Assist with microphones, cables, speakers, lighting equipment, and other technical gear.
- Perform pre-show equipment checks to ensure everything is ready to go.
- Troubleshoot minor sound or lighting issues during shows.
- Help set up and break down the performance space.
- Maintain an organized sound and lighting area.
- Communicate with managers, performers, and staff during the show.
- Pitch in with other stage or venue duties as needed.
We’re seeking someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the magic of live theater. While prior experience is helpful, it’s not required—this is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment. Here’s what will help you succeed:
- Previous experience in theater, live events, AV, DJing, or production (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of sound and lighting equipment.
- Comfort working with computers, audio equipment, and technical systems.
- Strong attention to detail and timing.
- Ability to follow scripts, cue sheets, and directions accurately.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to remain focused throughout a live performance.
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends based on our performance schedule.
