Overview

The Spa at Holbrook Stylist performs various hair care techniques, color and scalp treatments for high‑end clients, maintaining pristine treatment areas and handling client consultations and aftercare recommendations. Key responsibilities include performing all hair care services on the menu, assessing client needs, adhering to salon protocols and sanitation standards, recommending salon products, maintaining client retention rates, and ensuring a comfortable, luxurious client experience.

They also manage administrative tasks such as updating client profiles and maintaining inventory.

Requirements Client Consultation
  • Conduct thorough client consultations to understand individual health histories, preferences and any specific concerns or conditions.
  • Tailor hair‑care treatments based on the client’s needs, wishes and preferences.
Hair and Scalp Services and Treatments
  • Perform a variety of cutting, color and styling techniques.
  • Administer specialized scalp and hair‑care treatments.
Technical Proficiency
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in various cut, color and style protocols, staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
  • Utilize knowledge of the science of cosmetology, including the biology and chemistry of hair, skin and nails to address specific client concerns.
  • Maintain knowledge of human anatomy and physiology that helps understand how products interact with the body and to determine appropriate treatments for different clients.
Maintaining Treatment Rooms
  • Ensure stations, shampoo bowls and dispensary are clean, well‑stocked and prepared for each client.
  • Create a tranquil and comfortable environment conducive to relaxation.
Product Knowledge
  • Stay informed about how chemical products, such as color dyes, perms and styling agents work.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of different products and recommend home‑care routines based on specific needs and desired results.
Client Education
  • Provide clients with information on post‑service care to ensure the client can recreate their look at home.
  • Offer advice on lifestyle changes that may enhance the benefits of spa treatments.
  • Achieve 75%–85% rebooking rate.
  • Achieve client retention rate of 50%–75%.
  • Make recommendations for Club and Spa memberships.
Leadership and Professionalism
  • Maintain impeccable grooming, uniform standards and punctuality reflective of five‑star hospitality.
  • Participate in continuing education aligned with Holbrook’s Five‑Star Service Standards.
Client Education and Recommending Add‑ons and Upgrades
  • Make recommendations of additional spa services or retail products based on the client’s needs and preferences.
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets through effective communication and product knowledge.
Continuing Education
  • Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about new hair‑care and color techniques.
  • Attend workshops, training sessions and industry conferences.
  • Participate in professional and sensory‑awareness training aligned with Holbrook’s Five‑Star Service Standards.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a sense of trust and comfort.
  • Solicit and respond to client feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a client retention rate of 50–75% for new clients and 75%–85% for repeat clients.
  • Maintain rebooking rate of 75%–85%.
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other spa team members, including estheticians, massage therapists, nail technicians, wellness consultants and concierge staff, to provide a cohesive and integrated spa experience.
  • Arrive and attend on time to ensure client and treatment area preparation are on point.
  • If you need time off your schedule, you must acquire another team member to cover your schedule.
Cultural Sensitivity
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt massage techniques to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Luxury Service and Client Experience
  • Warmly greet each client within five seconds using their name and offering a beverage or comfort item.
  • Anticipate client needs and ensure a seamless experience from arrival to farewell.
  • Conclude each appointment with personalized gratitude and invitation to return.
Health, Safety and Sanitation
  • Adhere to OSHA, ADA and Georgia State Board of Cosmetology standards.
  • Execute all safety and sanitation procedures with professionalism and client consideration.
  • Ensure visible cleanliness, client confidence and safety throughout every stage of service.
  • Maintain a calm, restorative environment where wellness and safety are inseparable elements of the client experience.
Other Duties
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as required to support client experience, operational needs or the success of The Spa at Holbrook.
