The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works closely with licensed providers to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced community clinic setting. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
What You’ll Do- Perform basic patient assessments, including vital signs and infection control procedures
- Assist with patient care for adults, geriatric patients, and occasionally pediatric populations
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures
- Assist with EKGs and other clinical procedures as directed
- Interpret for patients and staff as applicable
- Monitor and order medical supplies under provider or clinic leadership guidance
- Participate in community outreach events or health fairs (3–4 times per year)
- High School Diploma required;
Medical Technical School graduate preferred - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and CPR certification required
- 6 months to 1 year of healthcare or clinical experience
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic lab procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA standards
- Pediatrics experience preferred (but not required)
- Valid Georgia driver’s license and safe driving record
- Bilingual/foreign language skills a plus
